STAFF REPORT
The TelecOJlllUI1ications Division of the City of San Bernardino has been videotaping
City Council meetings since July 1989, and to date all edited program masters and
associated recordings have been archived (stored) on 3/4" video cassette tape stock.
In order to reduce storage space requirements, the Division subnitted a Request
for Council action in June 1990.
During the June 18, 1990 Council meeting "Council Meni:ler Reilly made a IOOtion,
seconded by Council Meni:ler Fstrada and unanilOOUSly carried, that the City Attorney
be instructed to prepare a resolution stating that all 3/4" master video cassette
recordings of the City Council meetings produced by the Telecoomunications Division
be archived (stored) for a period of five (5) years, after which time they will
be recycled; and that the responsibility for archiving said recordings remain with
the Telecoomunications Division."
The above detailed resolution has been developed and is attached.
