RESOLUTION NO. 87-244
2 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO IMPOSING LIENS ON
CERTAIN PARCELS OF REAL PROPERTY LOCATED WITHIN THE CITY OF SAN
3 BERNARDINO FOR THE COSTS OF THE ABATEHENT OF A PUBLIC NUISANCE.
(2061 W. 17TH STREET, 564-566 W. 21ST STREET, 104 S. ALAMEDA,
4 1721 N. CONEJO DR., 1767 W. DARBY, 728 N. MT. VERNON, 1548 N.
MT. VERNON, 1408 W. WALNUT, 672 N. WESTERN).

6 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR l\ND COM.HON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SA.N BERNARD INO AS FOLLOWS:

SECTION 1. The City of San Bernardino, pursuant to its
9 authority under San Bernardino Municipal Code Chapter 15.28, and
10 other laws, did lawfully cause public nuisance abatements on the
11 real prope1rty described in Exhibi t "A", attached hereto and
12 incorporated herein by reference as though fully set forth. The
13 last known owners of record as to each such parcel are also
14 specif ied in Exhibit "A".
15 Due notice was given to the person or persons having an
16 interest in said property and a hearing was held by the Board
17 of Building Commissioners to hear protests and to assess the cost
18 of said abatements on said property. The Board of Building
19 Commissioners has entered its order determining the costs to be
20 reasonable and proper and imposing a lien upon the land involved.
21 Notice of the right to appeal to the Mayor and Common Council has
22 been issued to all affected property holders. The Board of Build
ing Commissioners nOvl request that the r.1ayor and Common Council

confirm the imposition of the lien.

SECTION 2. The matter having now come before the Mayor and
26
Common Council for confirmation of the imposition of the lien
27
imposed, the following costs are found to have been duly incurred
28
by the City pursuant to proceedings under said provisions of the
1 San Bernardino Municipal Code and the final statements of costs
2 on file with the City Clerk are hereby confirmed and adopted as
3 special assessments:

The legal description of each parcel is detailed on Exhibit "A".
SECTION 3. If said sum is not fully paid to the City
13 Clerk, City Hall, San Bernardino, within five (5) days after
14 mailing a notice to the person or persons having an interest in
15 said property informing said person or persons of the adoption of
16 this resolution as to any such individual parcel, then said sum
17 shall be and become a lien on said property pursuant to said
18 Municipal Code provisions and applicable laws and shall be
19 collected as a special assessment thereon.

SECTION 4. In the event said sum is not paid as
21 hereinabove provided, the City Clerk is hereby directed to file a
22 certified copy of this resolution with the Auditor of the County
23 of San Bernardino, State of California, directing that said sum
24 be entered as lien charges against said property as it appears on
25 the current assessment rolls, to be collected at the same time
26 and in the same manner, subject to the same penalties and
27 interest upon delinquencies, as the general taxes for the City of
28 San Bernardino are collected.

1 The City Clerk shall also present for recording appropriate
2 notices of the imposition of these liens with the County
3 Recorder.
4 I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing resolution was duly
5 adopted by the Mayor and Common Council of the City of San
6 Bernardino at a regular meeting thereof, held on
7 the 20th day of July , 1987, by the
8 following vote, to wit:
