Synopsis of Previous Council action:
08-05-85 -- Resolution No. 85-315 adopted awarding a contract to
Toyo Landscaping Co. for the low bid price of
$71,760.00.
06-02-86 -- Resolution No. 86-211 adopted awarding contract to J &
R Landscaping Maintenance Co. for the low bid price of
$76,500.00.
06-01-87 Resolution No. 87-181 adopted awarding a contract to
Mentone Turf Supply for the bid price of $87,600.00.
06-06-88 Resolution No. 88-180 adopted awarding a contract to
Mentone Turf Supply for the low bid price of $94,000.

Recommended motion:
That Change Order No. One to the contract with Mentone Turf Supply,
for maintenance of landscaping for Central City Mall, City Hall,
and various other facilities, in accordance with Plan No. 6735
(1992-93), be approved; to extend the term of the contract for a
one-year period, from 7-1-92 to 6-30-93, at a 3.75% increase in
contract unit prices.

The Special Provisions provide that the contract may be
extended for up to two (2) one-year periods, by mutual consent of
the City and Contractor. Adjustments in the contract prices are
to be negotiated at the time of each such renewal.
Contract Change Order No. Five extends the term of the
contract for a one-year period, from 7-1-92 to 6-30-93, at a
3.75% increase in contract unit prices. The increase in the
basic contract price will be $3,315, from $88,400.00 to
$91,715.00. The prices for the supplemental items will remain
unchanged at $3,531.00, for a total estimated Annual Contract
Cost of $95,246.00.
