HomeMy WebLinkAbout1988-472 .r. ~' . 1 RESOLUTION NO. 88-472 2 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO ESTABLISHING HEALTH-RELATED INSURANCE BENEFITS FOR POLICE SAFETY EMPLOYEES 3 4 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO AS FOLLOWS: 5 SECTION 1. The Memorandum of Understanding for Police 6 Safety employees, Article VII (Health Life Insurance) is amended 7 and superceded in its entirety by the language contained in 8 Exhibit "A", which is attached hereto and incorporated by 9 reference herein. 10 SECTION 2. The Mayor of the City of San Bernardino is 11 authorized and directed to implement the provisions of Exhibit 12 "A" for and on behalf of the City of San Bernardino. 13 I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing resolution was duly 14 adopted by the Mayor and Common Council of the City of San 15 Bernardino at a reqular meeting thereof, held on the 16 17 vote, 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 December , 1988, by the following day of 19th to wit: Council Members Estrada, Reilly, Flores, Maudsley AYES: Minor, Pope-Ludlam, Miller NAYS: None ABSENT: None ~ /~., ,. ~$~~A~/.1!';:/-./ , Ci ty Clerk "'4 RESO:" ESTABLISHING HEALTH-RELATED INSURANCE BENEFITS FOR. An employee must purchase medical insurance offered through the City in order to utilize the contributions described in Section A. D. In addition to the contribution described in Section A, the City shall contribute a maximum of $16.00 per employee to be used exclusively for the purchase of medical insurance benefits. E. Employees may use any of the amounts described in Section A to purchase any or all of the insurance benefits described in Section B. F. Cafeteria monies may be redesignated or a change of plans may be made in accordance with the rules established by the insurance plan selected by the employee. G.
