The original plan submitted by Greensstreets, L.A., was estimated to cost approximately $202,000, including the development of additional parking and the cost of a sculpture. After discussion, the Commission took an action requesting Greenstreets, L.A., to submit revised plans with different financial scenarios totalling $50,000, $100,000 and $150,000 and referred the matter to the Ways and Means Committee for further study. The Committee has considered the revised plans and has discussed the matter on several occasions, particularly with respect to funding priority and compatibility with the work currently being conducted by Project for Public Spaces (PPS), the Agency's downtown development consultant. On March 11, 1992, the Committee, once again, considered this matter and forwarded it to the Commission without a recommendation.
