Synopsis of Previous Council action:
May 3, 1991 The Mayor and Common Council adopted the Development
Code which contains provisions for permitting
temporary uses.
Recommended motion:
That the Planning Division be directed to initiate a Development
Code Amendment to expand the uses permitted through a Temporary
Use Permit.

SUBJECT: Development Code Amendment to include certain City-
sponsored uses as permitted uses through a Temporary Use
Permit.

REOUEST
That a Development Code Amendment be initiated to include certain
City sponsored uses as permitted uses through a Temporary Use
Permit.
BACKGROUND
The Development Code permits certain short-term activities through
a Temporary Use Permit. Temporary uses not occupying a structure
are permitted for a fixed period of time not exceeding 90 days.
The Development Code permits non temporary outdoor uses through a
Conditional Use Permit in the commercial land use designations.
