STAFF REPORT
Plans for the installation of a catch basin and lateral,
at Highland Avenue and Elk's Drive, have been prepared by the
Engineering Division, and the project is ready to be advertised
for bids. The project entails installation of a catch basin to
avoid having storm water continually in the cross gutter.
Below is an estimate of the total project cost:
Construction contract $ 21,579
Engineering & Inspection (W.O. #1914) 3,750
Sub-Total $ 25,329
Contingencies (15%):1: 3,871
TOTAL ESTIMATED PROJECT COST $ 29,200
An amount of $25,000 has been allocated, under Account No.
248-368-57807, to finance the costs that will be incurred for
these improvements. Supplemental funds, in the amount of $5,000,
will be provided by the proposed transfer of $5,000 from the
$250,000 allocated for the extension of the Mill Street Storm
Drain. The remaining balance of $245,000 will be adequate to
finance the Mill Street Storm Drain.
We recommend that the plans be approved and authorization
granted to advertise for bids.
