STAFF REPORT
occasionally, the Personnel Department receives subpoenas for
records or requests from retirees for specific copies of docUlllents
from their personnel file. Staff has visited the City Yards on a
number of occassions in an attempt to comply with these requests.
It has become almost impossible to locate files. Boxes, heavy and
overstuffed, are piled high due to limited spacing.
In an attempt to make sufficient room and reorganize the Personnel
Department storage room, we are requesting destruction of the
records listed in Exhibit "An, attached.

RESOLUTION NO.
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO APPROVING THE
DESTRUCTION OF CERTAIN RECORDS BY THE PERSONNEL DEPARTMENT.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. The Mayor and Common Council of the City of
San Bernardino do hereby approve the destruction by the
Personnel Department of certain records, more particularly
described in Exhibit "An, attached hereto and incorporated
herein by reference.
SECTION 2.
It is hereby found and determined that
records are no longer needed, and that they may be destroyed
pursuant to California Government Code Section 34090, upon
written consent of the city Attorney.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing resolution was duly
