STAFF REPORT
The Police Department operates a Police Community Service Center at
2025 E. Highland Ave., Suite G and the lease agreement with Sterling Plaza
Partners was approved by the Mayor and Council, Resolution 89-451. (Exhibit IOBIO)
The lease agreement expires on October 31, 1991 and renewal of the lease is
requested in order to maintain the San Bernardino Police Department's current
operation.
Sterling Plaza Partners have agreed to continue the lease for two more years
at $1.00 per year under the same terms as the previous lease.

RESOLUTION NO.
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO AUTHORIZING THE
EXECUTION OF A FIRST AMENDMENT TO THE LEASE AGREEMENT WITH
STERLING PLAZA PARTNERS FOR A LEASE OF CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY KNOWN
AS THE POLICE COMMUNITY OFFICE FOR AREA "E" TO EXTEND THE TERM OF
THE AGREEMENT FOR A PERIOD OF TWO YEARS.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1.
The Mayor of the City of San Bernardino
is hereby authorized and directed to execute, on behalf of said
City, a first amendment to the agreement with Sterling Plaza
Partners, to extend the term of the agreement for a period of two
years.
A copy of said first amendment is attached hereto
marked Exhibit "A" and incorporated herein by this reference as
fully as though set forth at length.
SECTION 2.
This agreement shall not take affect
until fully signed and executed by both parties. The City shall
not be obligated hereunder unless and until the agreement is fully
executed and no oral agreement relating thereto shall be implied
or authorized.
SECTION 3.
The authorization to execute the above-
referenced agreement is rescinded if the parties to the agreement
fail to execute it within sixty (60) days of the passage of this
resolution.

This Agreement for Amendment to Lease is made and entered into as
of this -2tb. day of october , J.9.21, by and between Starlina Plaza
Partners, a California General Pa~nershiD (Lessor), and ~
City Dr San Bernardino, as (Lessee). Reterence is made to that
certain Lease Agreement by and between Lessor and The city of San
Bernardino, for the premises described in said Lease Agreement,
which premises are located at 2025-G E. Highland Avenue, in the
sterlina Plaza Sh~DDina Center located in the City of -.bn
Bernardino, County of San Bernardino, state of California,
pursuant to that certain lease dated the 30th day of NOVember 1989,
hereinafter referred to as "Lease" in which the premise. and terms
of agreement are more particularly described therein I and,
WHEREAS, Lessor and Lessee now desire to amend the Lease as herein
described, it is mutually agreed that:
(1) fiDl. The term of this Lease is extended for a period
of Two (2) years commencing on the 1st day of November,
1991 and expiring on the 31st day of October, 1993.
WHEREAS, Lessor and Lessee agree that all other terms, conditions,
and agreements within the lease shall remain in full force and
effect and that in the event of conflict, the terms of this
Amendment shall prevail.
