An amount of $185,POO in Federal-Aid Urban funds has been
approved by SANBAG to'firlance the costs that will be incurred for
this project. However, there is insufficient obligational
authority to fund this project. SANBAG has approved a loan of
\~4, 000,000 to fund the projects that have been designated for
Federal-Aid Urban funds.
These projects will be done under the category of Advance
Construction. The loan of $ 4,000,000 is proposed to be repaid
with Federal-Aid funds apportioned under the new Surface Trans-
portation Act.
A Cooperative Agreement between SANBAG and the City will
be needed to authorize the advance of the necessary funds to
finance the costs that will be incurred for this project.
We recommend that the plans be approved and authorization
granted to advertise for bids.
