infrastructure fee to be levied, from $7,375 to $6,068,
due to deletion of water system.
11-19-90 Ordinance adopted relating to the time for pa:ment of
the Verdemont Infrastructure Fee.
01-07-91 Verdemont Infrastructure Fee 1990/91 Budget (Fund No.

STAFF REPORT
Bids for this project were received at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday,
10-1-91.
A total of 5 bids were received, ranging from $117,307.70
to $136,326.40 for the Basic Bid. The low bid of $117,307.70 is
49.8% under the Engineer's Estimate of $233,941.00.
Additive Alternates A and B were included in the bid docu-
ments. These alternates were for improvement of two sections of
Magnolia Avenue, and were to be included in the contract if
sufficient funds were available. Due to the favorable bid prices
received, there is sufficient funding to finance the cost of
these alternates.
Below is an estimate of the total project cost, based upon
the actual low bid price.

Mello-Roos Community Facilities District No. 995 has been
formed at the request of 4 property owners to finance Verdemont
Infrastructure Fees on their 7 parcels. There is an existing
available balance of $470,478.85 from the bond proceeds for
financing the cost of these street improvements. Funds are in
Account No. 255-673-53925.
Due to very favorable bids, staff recommends award of the
basic bid plus alternates A and B for the combined total contract
of $266,624.88.

RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO AWARDING A
CONTRACT TO AAA PAVING COMPANY FOR VARIOUS STREET IMPROVEMENTS IN
THE VERDEMONT AREA.
4 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO AS FOLLOWS:

SECTION 1. AAA Paving Company is the lowest responsible
bidder for: Various Street Improvements in the Verdemont Area,
per Plan No. 8420.
A contract is awarded accordingly to said
bidder for the total amount of $266,624.88, comprised of a Basic
Irvington
in
Avenue;
Bid
of
$117,307.70,
for
improvements
Additive Alternate A for $77,117.18 for improvements in Magnolia
Avenue, between Belmont and Meyers Road; and Alternate B for
$72,200.00 for improvements in Magnolia Avenue, between Meyers
Road and Ohio Avenue, but such award shall be effective only upon
the contract being fully executed by the parties.

Clerk and incorporated herein by reference as fully as though set

SECTION 2. This contract and any amendment or modi fica-
tions thereto shall not take effect or become operative until
fully signed and executed by the parties and no party shall be
obligated hereunder until the time of such full execution. No
oral agreements, amendments, modifications or waivers are
intended or authorized and shall not be implied from any act or
course of conduct of any party.

to the contract fail to execute it within sixty (60) days of the
passage of this resolution.
