DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS
STAFF REPORT
SEWERS: PICO STREET
On September 10, 1991, at 2:00 p.m., bids for this project
were opened. Only one single bid was received. After review, it
was determined that this was not a valid bid in that it did not
contain the required bidders bond.
A total of 8 bidders obtained plans and specifications for
this project. Four of the bidders indicated that they had in-
sufficient time to secure bid bonds prior to submitting bids
while the other three did not submit bids due to their own work
loads, or because the project was small and difficult to work on.
Staff recommends that the single, non-valid bid be
rejected and that authorization be granted to readvertise.
