HomeMy WebLinkAbout1989-295 '~ t. 1 RESOLUTION N0. 89-295 2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO CONFIRMING THE 1989-90 ASSESSMENT ROLL, EXPANSION OF FACILITIES FOR THE CENTRAL CITY 3 PARKING DISTRICT. 4 WHEREAS, by Resolution No. 12613, the Mayor and Common 5 Council found that the public interest, convenience, and 6 necessity required the formation of a parking improvement 7 district; and 8 WHEREAS, by sai d Resolution No. 12613 the Mayor and 9 Common Counci 1 of the City of San Bernardino formed a parking 10 i mprovement district for the purpose of providing publ i c off- 11 street parking facilities in the City of San Bernardino pursuant 12 to the provisions of Ordinance No. 3589 relating to the 13 establishment, financing, operation, and maintenance of vehicle 14 off-street parking wi thi n the City; and 15 WHEREAS, sai d Resolution No. 12613 declared that al 1 16 the land included within the boundaries of said parking 17 i mprovement district wi 1 1 be benefited by the parking 18 improvements to be constructed; and 19 WHEREAS, by Resolution No. 79-208, the Mayor and 20 Common Council found and determined that the public convenience 21 and necessity required the acquisition and installation of 22 property improvements for providing additional off-street public 23 parking facilities within the Central City Parking District; and 24 WHEREAS, by Resolution No. 79-207, the Mayor and Common 25 ounci 1 declared that an annual ad valorem assessment shal 1 be 26 evied on all land within the District to provide moneys for any 27 7-10-89 28 RESOLUTION APPR~l. 1989 ASSES. ROLL2 AD947 or all of the purposes set forth in Section 2 of the off-street 1 Parking Ordinance and i n particular to pay al 1 or any part of 2 the costs and expenses of providing such additional parking 3 place i mprovements; and 4 WHEREAS, an Assessment Roll has been prepared totalling 5 $30,299.25 which sets forth the i ndi vi dual assessments for the 6 Expansion of Facilities to be levied on each of the parcels of 7 land within the Central City Parking District; 8 NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COMMON 9 10 COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. That the Mayor and Common Council do hereby 11 find and determine that the proporti ovate costs to be levied for 12 13 the Expansion of Faci 1 i ti es against the parcel s of land wi thi n the Central City Parking District are correctly set forth on the 14 15 1989-90 Expansion of Facilities for the Central City Parking 16 District Assessment Rol 1, designated as Exhi bi t "A" and attached 17 hereto, and do hereby confirm said assessments. 18 SECTION 2. That the City C1 erk i s directed to cause a ~, 19 copy of thi s Resolution to be transmitted to the Office of the 20 Auditor-Controller for the County of San Bernardino with the request that the individual assessments be placed on the subject 21 22 1989-90 property tax bi 11 s for col 1 ecti on together with al l other 23 property taxes. 24 25 26 27 7-10-89 2 28 RESOLUTION APPRO. 1989 ASSES.
