HomeMy WebLinkAbout1989-074 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 1 Resolution No. 89-74 2 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO APPROVING AN 3 AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO AND THE SAN BERNARDINO POLICE OFFICERS ASSOCIATION. 4 WHEREAS, the City's negotiators have meet and conferred with the representatives of the San Bernardino Police Officers' Association in accordance with the (SBPOA) provisions of the Meyers-Milias-Brown Act of the State of California; and WHEREAS, the City's and SBPOA's representatives have agreed on certain modifications to the Memorandum of Under- standing (MOU) for the period from December 1, 1988, through November 30, 1991; WHEREAS, the modifications agreed to are summarized in an agreement, Exhibit "A", and will be incorporated in a new MOU along with those clauses from the MOU which expired on November 30, 1988, plus all relevant clauses from Council Resolution No. 6433. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1: The agreement, Exhibit "A", is hereby approved. SECTION 2: The Mayor of the City of San Bernardino is authorized and directed to execute said agreement. I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing resolution was duly adopted by the Mayor and Common Council of the City of San Bernardino at an adjourned regular meeting thereof, held on the day of March , 1989, by the following vote, 13th 28 to wit: RE: RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO APPROVING AN AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO AND THE SAN BERNARDINO POLICE OFFICERS ASSOCIATION. 1 AYES: Council Members Reillv. EXHIBIT A ...~ " i .... ~ The city of San Bernardino agrees to provide the following increased benefits to employees in classifications covered by the MOD between the City and the San Bernardino Police Officers' Association which expired on December 1, 1988, in addition to those benefits provided in that MOD: 1. Increased payment of the members' contributions as follows: Effective Date Additional pavment July 1, 1989 1% January 1, 1990 1% July 1, 1990 1% July 1, 1991 1% 2. Increased amounts made available to employees for the purchase of certain itemized insurance benefits as follows: Additional pavment Employee Employee & Effective date Only Dependents August 1, 1989 $45jmo. $45jmo. Vacation leave - increased accrual effective January 1, 1989, for use starting January 1, 1990, as follows: Completed Years Days/year 1 thru 7 8 thru 17 18 thru 24 25 and above 10 15 20 25 5. Floating holidays - increase as follows: Effective Date Added Days/Year January 1, 1989 January 1, 1990 1 1 6. Compensatory Time Accrual - increase maximum accrual to 240 hours effective July 1, 1989.
