HomeMy WebLinkAbout1989-072 .t ~ ; I RESOLUTION NO. 89-72 2 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO ACCEPTING THE APPRAISER'S DETERMINATION OF FAIR MARKET VALUE OF A STREET 3 AND HIGHWAY EASEMENT AT THE SOUTHEAST CORNER OF GILBERT STREET AND WATERMAN AVENUE, SAN BERNARDINO, CALIFORNIA, AND CERTIFYING 4 THE WORK OF THE APPRAISER. 5 WHEREAS, the City of San Bernardino is contemplating the 6 acquisition of a Street and Highway easement at the Southeast 7 corner of Gilbert Street and Waterman Avenue in the City of San 8 Bernardino; and 9 WHEREAS, NEWMAN and BARNETT, a Partnership is the owner of 10 the lot and parcel of real property from whi ch the easement is II to be acquired; and 12 WHEREAS, the City desires to now acquire the said Street 13 and Highway easement across said lot and parcel; and 14 HHEREAS, City has reviewed the Appraiser's determination 15 of the fair market value of the land and his report thereon; 16 and 17 WHEREAS, the City intends to acquire said easement with 18 Traffic System Fees, 19 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE r~AYOR AND COMMON 20 COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO THAT: 21 S E C T ION 1. RESOLUTION EPTING FAIR MARKET VALUE t A 11 t hat rea 1 pro per ty i nth e Co u n ty 0 f San Be r n a r din 0, S tat e of California, described as follows: 1 2 3 4 That portion of Lot 1, Prado Verde Tract, as per plat thereof recorded in Book 21 of Maps, page 3, records of the County Recorder of said County, described as follows: 5 Commencing at the Northwest corner of said Lot 1; thence East along the North line thereof, a distance of 2.75 feet to the 6 East line of Watermen Avenue as described in the document to the City 0 f San Be r n a r din 0, r e cor de d J an u a r y 10, 1972 i n Boo k 7 7832, page 187, Official Records of said County, and the True Point of Beginning; thence East along said North line of Lot 1 8 and being the South line of Gilbert Street, a distance of 22.83 feet; thence Southwesterly in a straight line to a point on 9 the East line of said Waterman Avenue which is South thereon, a distance of 22.83 feet from the True Point of Beginning; 10 thence North along said East line, to the True Point of Beginning. 11 12 is hereby determined, based upon the Appraiser's report 13 submi tted herewi th, to have a fair market val ue of $2,610.00 ]4 and said amount is hereby established as the fair market value 15 for said property. 16 SECTION 2.
