CITY' OF SAN BERNA::lDINO - REQUEST FQ COUNCIL ACTION
STAFF REPORT
A letter of petition was received by this office for the formation of an
Assessment District to finance the cost of a portion of the off-site
improvements (consisting of subdivision paving, curbs, gutters, etc. )
relative to Tentative Tract No. 14503, located along Cajon Boulevard, South
of Pepper Linden Drive, under the provisions of the Municipal Improvement
Act of 1913 and the Improvement Bond Act of 1915,
On September 5, 1990, the City Engineer and the City Clerk were authorized
to proceed with the proposed district. Authorization was also given to use
the same principal consultants as those used for Assessment District No.
977, which is a similar project of the same developer, located adjacent to
this project. One of those consultants was the firm of Bateman, Eichler,
Hill Richards, who was to provide Investment Banking services. That firm has
since diversified and are no longer operating this area. We are recommending
that the firm of Stone and Youngberg be used in place of Bateman, Eichler
Hill Richards. The City has used this firm in the past with good results.
If authorization is given, an agreement for said services will be obtained
and presented for approval and execution.
