Recommended motion:
That Change Order No. 3 to the contract with Executive Landscape
Contractors, Inc., for maintenance of landscaping in Assessment
District No. 976, in accordance with Plan No. 7034-B, be approved 1
to extend the contract for a period of one year, from 7-1-91 to 6-
30-92, at no increase to the contract unit prices, for a total
annual contract price of $25,937.44.

STAFF REPORT
The Special Provisions provide that the contract may be
extended for up to two (2) one-year periods, by mutual consent
of the City and Contractor. Adjustments in the contract prices
are to be negotiated at the time of each such revnewal.
Contract Change Order No. 3 extends the term of the
contract for a one-year period, from 7-1-91 to 6-30-92, at no
increase to the contract price.
Listed below is an estimate of the total cost for pro-
viding these landscape maintenance services, from 7-1-91 to 6-
30-92:

Funding for the costs incurred on this project will be
provided pursuant to Resolution No. 86-341, adopted on 8-19-86,
Resolution No. 87-9, adopted on 1-05-87, Resolution No. 88-67,
adopted on 3-7-88, and Resolution No. 90-199, adopted 6-4-90,
which order the installation and maintenance of the landscaping.
The landscaping was installed under previous contracts. Costs
for maintenance will be pre-funded by the City, as set forth in
the Resolution of Intention (No. 86-341) and the amount
reimbursed throuqh assessments levied on all parcels within the
district for the following fiscal year.
Inspection of the maintenance effort by the Contractor
will be provided by the Department of Parks, Recreation and
Community Services.
We recommend that Contract Change Order No. 3 be
approved.
