STAFF REPORT
Complaints were received by this Department, after inspections
by Vehicle Abatement Officers, legal ten (10) day notices were issued
and mailed to land owners. Upon no response to the Abatement Orders.
the abandoned vehicles were abated by the City. Cost were incurred
by the City for abatement and are being liened on the properties.

Chapter 8.36 of the San Bernardino Municipal Code, did lawfully give notice
of and thereafter abate public nuisances found to exist on the properties
listed below; and
iavRllA!I\. pursuant to the San Bernardino Municipal Code, the Director of
Facilities Management Department served notice on all property owners of the
abatement costs for removing abandoned, wrecked, dismantled, and/or
inoperable vehicles or parts thereof from the property; and

to protest the abatement costs was afforded the property owners, with no
response forthcoming;

SECTIOB 1. The Mayor and COIIIDIOn Council confirm and adopt as special
assessments, the following abatement costs which have been incurred by the
City for the abatement of public nuisances found to exist on the following

1 SECrIOR 2. The above assessments shall be paid to Fac1U.ties
2 JIaDag_t Deparblent. basement of City Hall, 300 No. '''n'' Street, San
3 Benrardino, CA 92418, within thirty (30) days after notice of this
4 resolution is mailed to all parties with an interest in the above
5 properties. All assessments not fully paicJ :In thirty (30) days shall
6 become a lien on the property pursuant to the San Bernardino Municipal Code
7 and shall be collected as a special assessment thereon.
8 SJ!CTlOR 3. If the above assessment is not paid as hereinabove
9 provided, the City Clerk is directed to file a certified copy of this
10 resolution with the Auditor of the County of San Bernardino, State of
11 California, directing that said assessment be entered as a lien against the
12 property as it appears on the current assessment rolls. The assessment
13 shall be collected at the same time and in the same manner as the general
14 property taxes for the City of San Bernardino including penalties and
15 interest for delinquent payments.
16 The City Clerk shall also present for recording appropriate notices of
17 the imposition of these liens with the County Recorder.

RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO ASSESSING CERTAIN PARCELS OF
REAL PROPERTY LOCATED WITHIN THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO FOR THE COST OF
ABATEMENT OF PUBLIC NUISANCES (ABANDONED VEHICLES) ON SAIDl'ROPERTIES.
I REREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing resolution was duly adopted by the
Mayor and Common Council of the City of San Bernardino at a meeting
