STAFF REPORT
The Animal Control Department has, in some cases, records that date back over twenty
years. Many of the records are kept in storage in a room at the City Yards. While a
fire a few years ago destroyed man~ of the documents, many unnecessary records are
still there. Approximately six (61 years of records are stored at the Animal Shelter.
Because storage space is at minimum, we would like to be able to destroy records that are
no longer necessary. We also would like to be able to destroy records on a yearly
basis, depending on the type of records kept.
