Two weekly site visits have been made to review progress on the renovation of
the City Hall Annex. The following report on the visit of January 23, 1991,
was presented to the Redevelopment Committee at their meeting of January 24,
1991. The second report concerning the visit of January 30, 1991 has been
added to this staff report.
VISIT OF JANUARY 23, 1991
On January 23, 1991, at approximately 11:00 a.m., a visit was made to determine
the amount of progress being made on the renovation of the City Hall Annex. We
estimate that work is lSX complete, using the percentages applied by staff, to
the Facilities Management Department.

Wayne Overstreet's schedule proposes to have the following work complete or in
progress as of January 23, 1991.

The schedule estimated that approximately twenty-seven (27X) of the renovation
would be complete by January 23, 1991. Based upon the current work schedule
and accomplishlllenta, work is approximately l2X behind schedule.
Staff observed the folloWing during the above referenced visit:
1. All framing has been removed.
2. Existing lights are being removed.
3. Hallway lights are being installed.
4. Clean-up of the floors was in progress.
There were approximately fifteen (15) workers present at the worksite.
VISIT OF JANUARY 30, 1991
Staff made the second weekly site visit to determine the amount of progress
made on the renovation of the City Hall Annex as of on January 30, 1991. We
estimate that work is l7X complete, making total progress 26X behind schedule
based on staff's estimated percentage applied to the renovation schedule
furnished by the Facilities Management Department.

Staff observed the following during the above referenced visit.
1. Eleetrieal eireuits were being plaeed.
2. Lights for cOllllllon areas being worked on.
3. Ceiling frames had been repaired.
4. Floor plan ehanges had been ehalked.
There were four (4) workmen on site and they indicated that new framing and
lighting have been plaeed on order.
FUTURE ACTIONS
Staff will visit the work site every Tuesday at 3:30 p.m., and provide an
updated progress report for information and aetion, as appropriate. In
addition, the department is expecting a revised schedule from the Director of
Faeilities Management which will supposedly indicate the relocation of the
Eeonomic Development Agency/Development Department could oecur as early "as
March 15, 1991.
