In addition to rehabilitating the pavement, the project will include replacing the bridge rails on the San Timoteo and Santa Ana River structures. Below is an estimate of the total project cost: Construction Contract Consulting Engineer's Fee Preliminary Eng. by City Construction Engineering Forces(W.O.#1845) (W.O.# $ 1,567,275 137,258 9,750 125,000 $ 1,839,283 91,717 $ 1,931,000 Sub-Total Contingencies (5%)! TOTAL ESTIMATED PROJECT COST An amount of $1,665,000 was allocated in the 1987/88 Street Construction Fund Budget, under Account No. 242-362- 57658. Federal-Aid Urban Funds represent 86%, or $1,431,900, with the remaining 14%, or $233,100, being from local agency funds. Supplemental funds in the amount of $266,000 will be needed to fully finance the total estimated project cost. Addi tional Federal-Aid Urban Funds are available through the process adopted by SANBAG to cover up to a 10% overrun. Of the $266,000 overrun, City funds will be needed in the amount of $37,240 to finance the local agency's 14% share. Our proposed 1990/91 Street Construction Fund Budget included an amount of $400,000, from the 1/2<: sales tax local fund, for the rehabilitation of the pavement on Redlands Boulevard, from the East City limits to Hunts Lane. However, one-half of these funds was subsequently transferred to the General Fund. Since the present funding is insufficient to finance the project, we recommend that $37,240 be transferred from this account to provide the necessary supplemental local agency funding for the Waterman Avenue pavement rehabilitation project. We approved, granted. recommend that the transfer of funds and plans be and that authorization to advertise for bids be
