CIT~ OF SAN BIER NARDI NO - REQUIEST FOR COUNCIL ACTION
STAFF REPORT
City practice has been that when individuals sought business licenses
for business which were conducted primarily outside the home but which
used the home address as the business address, to not require home
occupancy permits. Under the actual reading of the applicable ordinances,
however, such permit should be required. The fee for such permits is in
the area of $1,500, which seems a heavy exaction on those who are not
actually conductin~ business but or in fact only using the home as an
address.
The proposed ordinance would alleviate the problem.
