HomeMy WebLinkAbout1982-171RESOLUTION NO. 82_171 2 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO ADOPTING AMENDMENT NO. 50 TO THE GENERAL PLAN OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO (LAND USE 3 ELEMENT)(APPROXIMATELY 2.84 ACRES LOCATED EAST AND WEST OF MOUNTAI AVENUE, APPROXIMATELY 158 FEET SOUTH OF THE CENTERLINE OF ORCHID 4 DRIVE). 5 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO AS FOLLOWS: 6 7 SECTION 1. Recitals. 8 (a) The General Plan of the City of San Bernardino was 9 adopted by the Mayor and Common Council by Resolution No. 7336 on 10 August 17, 1964. 11 (b) Adoption of Amendment No. 50 to the General Plan of the 12 City of San Bernardino, amending the Land Use Element, was recom- 13 mended by the Planning Commission of the City of San Bernardino on 14 March 16, 1982, after a legally advertised public hearing. 15 (c) A negative declaration, complete with an environmental 16 description form, relating to Amendment No. 50, has been reviewed 17 and approved by the Planning Commission and the Mayor and Common 18 Council in accordance with the California Environmental quality 19 Act and local regulations. 20 (d) The Mayor and Common Council reviewed and considered 21 Amendment No. 50 on April 19, 1982. 22 (e) The Mayor and Common Council find that the present 23 zoning of the subject property is inconsistent with the General 24 Plan. 25 (f) The adoption of Amendment No. 50 is deemed in the 26 interest of the orderly development of the City and important to 27 the health, safety and welfare of the City. 28 SECTION 2. Amendment. The Land Use Element of the General I Plan of the City of San Bernardino is amended by changing the 2 approximate 2.84 acres located east and west of Mountain Avenue) 3 iapproximately 158 feet south of the centerline of Orchid Drivej as i 4 outlined on the map entitled Exhibit "A", a copy of which is 5 attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference, from the 6 General Commercial designation now applicable to two of the 7 parcels therein and from the low density residential designation 8 now applicable to the remaining parcel therein, to medium-high 9 density residential (15 - 36 dwelling units per acre) use 10 Ildesignation. 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 29 SECTION 3. Map Notation. This resolution and the amendment effected by it shall be noted on such appropriate maps as have been adopted and approved by the Mayor and Common Council.
