STAFF REPORT
All work under this contract was satisfactorily
completed as of 1-18-89.
Change Order No. One directed the Contractor to relo-
cate the storm drain point of connection, due to the location
of the existing storm drain stub being different from the as-
built plans, at an increase in the contract price of
$2,123.35.
Change Order No. Two authorized that the alignment of
the storm drain be revised to clear a San Bernardino Valley
Municipal Water District lateral from their foothill feeder
line, at an increase in the contract price of $4,493.73.
Change Order No. Three authorized the placement of an
additional 10 tons of asphalt concrete pavement on Northpark
Boulevard, due to deterioration of the existing pavement, at
an increase in the contract price of $400.00.
The project was awarded for the low bid price of
$117,916.00. Change Orders One, Two and Three authorized an
increase in the contract price to $124,933.08. The final
actual contract price is $121,440.08, due to a lesser quantity
of imported backfill being required than the estimated
quantity in the bid documents. The final price is 5% below
the amount included in the final estimate of cost for the
construction contract and contingencies.
We recommend that the work be approved and accepted,
and that final payment be authorized at the expiration of the
lien period.
