1. RECLASSIFICATION OF COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT ACCOUNT CLERK
III TO ACCOUNTING TECHNICIAN - The Committee recommended approval
of this request. The financial impact was considered minimal and
paid from CDBG funds.
2. EMPLOYMENT CONTRACTS - STUDY INCLUDING DEPARTMENT HEADS -
Item continued. The Committee requested that staff focus on RDA
Director and City Administrator contracts and bring back a draft
policy with all the elements (pay, benefits, hospital, car).
policy is to be presented to the Committee on March 23.
3. PROPOSED REORGANIZATION OF PUBLIC SERVICES DEPARTMENT -
The Committee recommended approval of this request. The Public
Services Supervisor position would be reclassified to Superinten-
dent of Streets. A Superintendent of Sanitation would be estab-
lished. The Sanitation Route Manager position would be deleted
upon incumbent's retirement. A Sanitation Route Manager position
would be reclassified to Commercial Route Supervisor. This item
will appear on the February 20 Council agenda.
4. CHIEF NEGOTIATOR - EVALUATION OF OPTIONS - The Committee
recommended that Mr. Johnson remain the interim negotiator tem-
porarily. He was requested to search for an outside negotiator
from the local area. The Committee will review the listing at the
February 23 Committee meeting.
