Recommended motion:
That the Plans for replacement of lighting for Nunez Park Soccer
Field, in accordance with Plan No. 7597, be approved; and the Director
of Public Works/City Engineer be authorized to advertise for bids.

STAFF REPORT
Plans for the replacement of lighting for Nunez Park
Soccer Field have been prepared by the Engineering Division,
and the project is ready to be advertised for bids. The
project consists, in general, of replacing the existing
inoperative incandescent lights for the soccer field and
security for the park.
Listed below is an estimate of the total project cost:
Construction Contract $ 95,000
Engineering & Inspection (W.O. #1840) 8,040
Sub-total $ 103,040
Contingencies (5%) :!: 5,160
TOTAL ESTIMATED PROJECTS COSTS $ 108,200
An amount of $48,580.00 was allocated in the 1987/88
Budget, from the 1986 Bond Act Funds, and $55,000.00 was
allocated in the 1988/89 Budget, from Park Construction Fund,
for a total budgeted amount of $103,580.00. These funds were
allocated under Account No. 243-363-57530. Supplemental funds,
in the amount of $4,620 will be needed to fully finance the
total estimated project cost. These supplemental funds will be
derived from the $229,077 allocated under Account No. 243-363-
57531 for Development of Nunez Park, Phase II.
We recommend that the plans be approved and
authorization be granted to advertise for bids.
