F-89-20
The proposed purchase is for a 3/4 ton truck with utility body to be utilized
in daily operations by the Public Services/Street Department.
At the request of the department, appropri ate specifi cati ons were prepared,
published and furnished to area suppliers. Bids were publicly opened and
declared on December 27, 1988. The following is a summary of bids received.

Twenty-one (21) vendors supplying this commodity were solicited. Seven (7)
responded, three (3) no bids and four (4) valid bids.
Specifications as bid have been reviewed with the director of Public Services
and the Fleet Manager who concurs that the Bid of Richard Hibbard Chevrolet
meets specifi cations and requirements. It is therefore recommended that the
bid be accepted for contract. The equipment funding is in the 1988/89 budget.

RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO AWARDING A CONTRACT TO RICHARD
HIBBARD CHEVROLET FOR THE FURNISHING AND DELIVERY OF A 3/4 TON TRUCK WITH
UTILITY BODY, TO BE UTILIZED BY THE PUBLIC SERVICES DEPARTMENT IN ACCORDANCE
WITH BID SPECIFICATION F~89~20.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN
BERNARDINO AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That Richard Hibbard Chevrolet is the lowest and best
responsible bidder for the furnishing and delivery of a 3/4 ton tru.ck with
utility body in accordance with Bid Specification F-89-20 for the total amount
ot" $15,264.00; pursuant to this determination, the Purchasing Agent is hereby
authorized and directed to issue a purchase order for said 3/4 ton truck with
utility body to said lowest and best responsible bidder; such award shall only
be effective upon the issuance of a Purchase Order by the Purchasing Agent;
and all other quotations therefor are hereby rejected.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing resolution was duly adopted by
the Mayor and Common Council of the City of San Bernardino at a
