2. 48th and Kendall Dip Section
Mr. Roger Hardgrave, Director of Public Works/City Engineer, stated
that a design consultant hired by Public Works determined that a reworked
design of the dip section would be more appropriate, eliminating the need
for a dip and allowing a normal roadway section by conducting flood flows
through either a 4' x 8' reinforced concrete box or five 48" reinforced
concrete pipes and as a result of the change in design, the total
estimated project cost has been revised to $475,800. He also indicated
that the City had $37,000 available from development fees to offset some
of this cost and expected more in the near future. Mr. Hardgrave
suggested that the Agency's increased contribution be lowered by the
$37,000 at this time and that the agreement be amended to allow for
further decreases or Agency reimbursement over, time as additional fees
are received.
RECOMMENDATION:
The Committee recommended that this item go to the Commission at
their meeting of May 15, 1989 with amendments consistent with Mr.
Hardgrave's suggestions regarding development fee offsets or
reimbursements of Agency advances.
