SYOOPSIS of Previous Council action:
Council authorized the Department to hire six (6) Summer Lunch Monitors on a part-time
basis for a 47 day period during the months of June, July, and August of 1988.
Re,'ommended motion:
l:lat the Parks, Recreation and Community Services Department be authorized to hire
six (6) part-time Summer Lunch monitors.

AUTHORIZATION TO HIRE PART-TIME MONITORS
FOR SUMMER FOOD SERVICE FOR CHILDRENS STAFF REPORT
PROGRAM
Summer Lunch Monitors are utilized in the administration and operation of the Summer
Food Service Program. Monitors are required by the U.S.D.A. to visit a sponsor's
site daily to review and evaluate the programs operation.
Summer Lunch Monitors wages and mileage reimbursement are paid thru the Summer Food
Service Grant.
