2 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO PROTESTING THE RFmVAL OF
KVCR, SAN BERNARDINO'S LOCAL PBS CHANNEL, FRCX'1 THE CABLEVISION (UNITED
3 ARTISTS) CHANNEL LINEUP.
4 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COMMJN COONCIL OF THE CITY OF
SAN BERNARDINO AS FOLLOWS:

WHEREAS KVCR serves an integral function within San Bernardino
by producing and playing a nUllll1ber of locally produced programs, and
WHEREAS KVCR provides a broad spectrum of educational progranming
unavailable on other channels, and
WHEREAS KVCR offers a variety of coursework through its television
classes, and
WHEREAS over 500 students will be unable to complete such coursework
as channel designation is to change in mid-term (May 1), and
WHEREAS Cablevision (United Artists) did not provide adequate
notice of intent to remove the channel,
Let it be known that the Mayor and Common Council do hereby
protest such action, and request that Cablevision 'Un~ted Artists) reeonsider
such channel termination.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing resolution was duly adopted
by the Mayor and Common Council of the City of San Bernardino at a
meeting thereof, held on the
