EMPLOYMENT CONTRACTS FOR TOP MANAGEMENT - PROPOSED POLICY .. Item continued to next meeting. city Attorney's office needed time to review the proposed contract agreement. 2. CIVIL SERVICE AND PERSONNEL DEPARTMENT STAFFING ~The Committee recommended the transfer of three positions from Personnel to Civil Service. The city Attorney will prepare an ordinance to assign these positions and the secretary position (adopted previously) to the civil Service BOard Chief Examiner. Councilman Minor will recommend a charter change to.the Charter Revision Committee that would authorize the Director of Personnel to also be the Chief Examiner. The realignment of positions was recommended by the City Attorney to meet the established criteria in the charter. . The Personnel Director was requested to provide periodic reports pertaining to staffing needs and also to provide same in the upcoming budget review. 3. REQUEST FOR SALARY ADJUSTMENTS - ASSISTANT AND SENIOR ASSISTANT CITY ATTORNEYS The Committee, after considerable discussion, and receiving of reports from the City Attorney, Director of Personnel and Acting City Admin- istrator, continued the item to April 20.
