CITY OF SAN BERNMDINO - REQUEST ~ COUNCIL ACTION
STAFF REPORT
".,.,
. :\ :,~ --~
At a recent Redevelopment Committee meeting, Committee
members suggested that the maximum reimbursement rate for
meals which is currently $35.00 per day be reviewed. The
intent behind the review was to ensure that the reimbursement
rate was adequate to cover expenses in higher priced cities.
A survey was conducted to determine the procedure of sur-
rounding cities relative to the adequacy of their
reimbursement rates. with the exception of Colton which
,established a maximum reimbursement rate of $45.00 per day
I.,fdr higher\priced cities, it was found that the majority of
the cities reimbursed their employees based on actual
expenses which were incurred.
After discussing this issue with the Acting Ci~y
Administrator and Executive Director of the RDA, it ~s
recommended that the maximum reimbursement rate needs to be
increased to $45.00 per day.
