Currently, there is one (1) armed security guard at the Bankruptcy Court for ten (10) hours each business day between the hours of 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. The cost of the security guard is $17.00 per hour for a total of $170 per day, or an approximate total of $3,900.00 per month. The purchase order issued on May 4, 1994 has a remaining balance of approximately $1,000. In order to continue with the security services provided at the Bankruptcy Court, staff is asking approval of a ninety (90) day extension with Highland Empire Security Patrol in an amount not to exceed $12,000, and staff is seeking authorization to solicit bids for continued security services at the Bankruptcy Court location based upon the currently security configuration.
