STAFF REPORT
The Inland Empire Symphony Association was formed as a community
orchestra thirty years ago. It offers a full range of concerts and
performances, cooperates with other arts organizations, and works
with educational institutions at all levels.
The Inland Empire Symphony Association provides the foundation for
opera, ballet, and special educational programs throughout San
Bernardino County. It serves as the orchestra for eight performing
arts organizations in the state of California. It also offers
workshops with prominent guest artist, Young Artists Competitions,
and other programs serving more than 10,000 young people.
The Inland Empire Symphony Associations' funding request to the
Fine Arts Commission is a very small portion of their budget.
The Fine Arts Commission recommended for approval the amount of
$80,000.00 at their December 10, 1991 meeting.
