Synopsis of Previous Council Action:
June 4, 2001 - A waiver of the TUP for $332 was approved by Mayor and Council.
June 12, 2002 -- Waiver of TUP recommended for approval by
Ways and Means Committee.
Recommended motion:
That the request by Inland Behavioral and Health Services for a waiver of the
Temporary Use Permit in the amount of $340 in connection with their Health Fair to be
held on June 29, 2002, at the Whitney Young Family Health Clinic, be approved.

STAFF REPORT
SUBJECT:
Approval of fee waiver for Inland Behavioral Health Inc. in the amount of $340 for a
Temporary Use Permit.
BACKGROUND:
Inland Behavioral Health Inc. has requested a Temporary Use Permit (TUP) in
connection with their 2nd Annual Health Fair at Whitney Young Family Health Clinic on
June 29, 2002. This request is based upon their status as a non-profit organization.
The event will be held in the parking lot of the clinic at 1755 N. Maple Street. Attached
is a proposed layout of the event. The vendor booths will be distributing related health
care information and do not require a business license.
A similar request was approved by the Mayor and Council for last year's event.
FISCAL IMPACT:
The amount of the Temporary Use Permit is $340. The impact will be to Account 001-000-4710
(Temporary Use Permit.)
RECOMMENDATION:
That the request for a Temporary Use Permit (TUP) fee waiver in the amount of $340, by Inland
Behavioral Health Inc., for their 2nd annual health fair on June 29, 2002, be
approved.

(501 c3,) with a limited budget. Therefore, your assistance in this matter would be
greatly appreciated.

At the Council meeting held on June 17, 2002, the Mayor and Common Council voted to
approve your request for a waiver of the Temporary Use Permit fee in the amount of $340.
Said waiver is in connection with your 2nd Annual Health Fair to be held on June 29,2002, at
the Whitney Young Family Health Clinic, 1755 N. Maple Street.
