TO: FROM: DATE: RE: llll Seotember: There are five Mondays in January. The first regular meeting in January falls on January 2nd, which is the first day back after the holidays, and the second meeting falls on a holiday (Martin Luther King, Jr. ) and it would necessitate rescheduling that meeting. I suggest the meetings in January take place on the second and fourth Mondays, January 9 and 23, 1995. There are also five Mondays in July. The first regular meeting in July falls on Monday, July 3, the day before a legal holiday. I suggest the meetings in July take place on the second and fourth Mondays, July 10 and 24, 1995. The first Monday in September is Labor Day, a legal holiday. I suggest that the Mayor and Council schedule its first regular meeting in September for Tuesday, September 5, 1995. Januarv: Julv: Except for the specific meetings indicated above, all other reaular Council/Commission meetings in 1995 would take place on the first and third Monday of each month. Section 35 of the City Charter provides that adjournments may be taken from a meeting to a day certain, and in such cases the adjourned meeting shall be deemed an adjourned regular meeting. Additionally, it will make it easier for all concerned if we can notify departments with as much advance notice as possible of deadlines for submitting agenda items. r::J.~ ~'- ~l Clark City Clerk 75-02..
