~ITY' OF SAN BERt&RDINO - REQUEST ~R COUNCIL ACTION
APPROVAL OF $2,000 FROM 3RD WARD PARK
EXTENSION FUND FOR THE PURCHASE OF
A SCOREBOARD CONTROLLER AND CONSTRUC-
TION MATERIAL FOR NICHOLSON LITTLE
LEAGUE.
STAFF REPORT
The Little League at Nicholson Park is newly formed due to realignment of boundaries
in the district and is now comprised of principally San Bernardino residents. The
existing scoreboard has been inspected and determined to be in good working order,
however, the controller has been missing for several years. The provision of a
controller ($435) will enable the league to provide a quality program and meet Little
League requirements.
The restroom and concession buildings have deteriorated over the years and are in
need of renovation. Trade schools have been lined up to provide donated skilled
labor to construct drop ceilings, hang dry wall, build counters and shelves and
make other improvements. Funds in the amount of $1,565 are required to provide
the material for the renovation.
This request has been coordinated with the Council Office.
