Rh~~~~ 2 RESOLUTION OF THE C'I'l'Y OF 'SAN BERNAlID'INO CONCURRING IN THE FINDINGS OF THE COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT COMMISSION THAT THE 3 WIDBNING or FORTIftlJ 8'lREB'l" BI!~BN 'ELECTRIC AVENUE AND MOUNTAIN AVENUE WILL BE OF BENEFIT TO THE STATE COLLEGE PROJECT AREA. f .\" , ' 4 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN BBRNARDINO AS FOLtOWS: '. 5 6 SECTION 1. Findinos. 7 A. The Community Development Commission of th~ City of San Bernardino has found that the improvements contemplated by the 8 City of San Bernardino by widening Fort4eth Street betwe~ 9 10 11 Electric Avenue and Mountain Avenue will be of benefit to the State College Project Area even though a substantial portion of 12 the area to be widened is outside the project boundaries. 13 B. The City has reviewed the findings of the Community 14 Development Commission relative thereto, and likewise finds that the widening of Fortieth Street between Electric Avenue and 15 16 17 18 Mountain Avenue will be of substantial benefit to the present and future residents of the State College Project Area. SECTION 2. Implementation. A. The City of San Bernardino therefore concurs in the 19 20 finding of the Community Development Commission that the widening 21 22 of Fortieth Street between Electric Avenue and Mountain Avenue will benefit the State College Project Area even though a portion 23 of Fortieth Street which is being widened is outside the 24 25 boundaries of the State College Project Area. The benefits to the State College Area will be immediate and long range. 26 B. The City therefore concurs that it is a proper 27 expenditure of Redevelopment Agency funds from the State College 28 13 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 Project Area to reimburse to the City of San Bernardino the costs of land acquisition necessary for the widening of Fortieth Street between Electric Avenue and Mountain Avenue.
