2 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO AUTHORIZING THE
EXECUTION OF A SECOND AMENDMENT TO AGREEMENT WITH THE SAN
3 BERNARDINO CITY UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT RELATING TO A THREE YEAR
EXTENSION OF THE AGREEMENT FOR INSTALLATION OF ELECTRONIC ALARM
4 UNITS IN CITY'S COMMUNICATION CENTER.
5 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
6 SAN BERNARDINO AS FOLLOWS:
7 SECTION 1. The Mayor of the City of San Bernardino is hereby
g authorized and directed to execute on behalf of said City a Second
9 Amendment to Agreement with the San Bernardino City Unified School
10 District relating to a three year extension of the agreement for
11 installation of electronic alarm units in City's Communication
12 Center, a copy of which -is attached hereto, marked Exhibit "A" and
13 incorporated herein by reference_as fully as though set forth at
14 length.
15 I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing resolution was duly
16 adopted by the Mayor and Common Council of the City of San
17 Bernardino at a regular meeting thereof, held
18 on the 2nd day of August 1982, by the following
19 vote, to wit:
20 AYES: Council Members Castaneda. Reilly. Hernandez
21 Quiel, Hobbs, Strickler
22 NAYS: None
23 ABSENT: None

SECOND AMENDMENT TO AGREEMENT
(Alarm Installation)
THIS SECOND AMENDMENT TO AGREEMENT is entered into between
the SAN BERNARDINO CITY UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT, referred to as
"District", and the CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO, a municipal
corporation, referred to as "City".
District and City agree as follows:
1. Recitals.
(a) District and City entered into an Agreement on
eptember 23, 1976, and a First Amendment to Agreement on November
, 1982, (collectively "the agreement"), relating to the
nstallation of electronic alarm units in City's Communication
(b) The parties now desire to amend the agreement to
vide for a three year extension of the term.
2. Term. The term of the agreement is extended for an
itional period of three years commencing September 1, 1982, and
minating August 31, 1985.
3. Other Provisions. All other terms, conditions and
enants of the agreement, as amended, shall remain the same and
in full force and effect.

Regarding the fire alarm agreement entered into the 23rd of September 1976, between the
San Bernardino City Unified School District and the City of San Bernardino, you are
hereby notified that on the 1st of October 1997, the terms of this agreement are
terminated.
We agreed to remove all our own equipment from the City's facility within seven days and
shall bear all costs for removing the equipment in accordance to the agreement, Paragraph
8. In accordance with Paragraph 8, the District understands it will "hold the City free and
harmless from any and all costs and liability therefor."
This termination of the agreement is the result of a month long negotiation between Jesse
Campos, Division Chief, San Bernardino City Fire Department and Gary Underwood,
Director of Police/Safety, San Bernardino City Unified School District.
This termination is by mutual consent of both parties.
