personnel actions to be reviewed by the Mayor and Common Council at the April
16,2001 Council meeting.

2. Electrical & HVAC Mechanic (Whitaker. Rorv) - Appointment
FACILITIES MANAGEMENT
Facilities Management is filling the position of Electrical & HVAC Mechanic. This
position is a budgeted position, which has been vacant for six months due to the
recruiting process. This is a critical position in the Building Maintenance section.
3. Park Maintenance Worker III (Shiplev III. Edward) - Appointment
PARKS, RECREATION & COMMUNITY SERVICES
The filling of this position will enable the Parks Division to maintain programmed
maintenance schedules for landscaping at our Community Parks. This position
was vacated due to the transfer of our employee to the Public Services
Department.

POSITION JUSTIFICATIONS
The following are justifications for classified appointments, promotions and other
personnel actions to be reviewed by the Mayor and Common Council at the April
16, 2001 Council meeting.
CLASSIFIED
GENERAL FUND
1. Buildina Insoector I (Hansen. Michael) Appointment (Temporary)
DEVELOPMENT SERVICES
In order to improve the health and life safety environment within the City's 42
mobilehome parks, the existing Mobilehome Park Inspection Program is being
augmented. This temporary position will allow the Department to increase the
intensity and frequency of inspections. The frequency of inspections will be
increased from once every 8 years to once every 1-3 years. This temporary
position is being requested to allow the immediate increase of inspection activity.
2-3. Associate Planner (Cumblidae. S: Liana. A.) - Appointment
DEVELOPMENT SERVICES
The Planning Division currently has three (3) vacant Associate Planner positions
and has retained the services of contract planning consulting firms to assist with
the review and processing of development applications. Hiring two (2) Associate
Planners will enable the Planning Division to provide better service to its
customers.
