OF ANY DAY TO 6:00 A.M, OF THE NEXT SUCCEEDING DAY 'IN OR UPON VEHICLE PARKING LOTS OF CITY PARKS; AND ESTABLISHING i 5 A TOWAWAY ZONE FOR ANY VEHICLE REMAINING IN OR UPON SAID LOTS ~ iAFTER 11:00 P.M. I 6 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY I 7 OF SAN BERNARDINO AS FOLLOWS: 8 SECTION 1. Resolution No. 8234, Section Two and Three- 9 Quarters, which establishes parking time limitations upon certain i 10 designated vehicle parking lots in City parks, is hereby amended u Ito read as follows: 12 "SECTION TWO AND THREE-QUARTERS: Pursuant to the pro- l3 visions of Section One of Article IV of Ordinance No. 1652 of the 14 City of San Bernardino, it is hereby found and determined that 15 the public convenience and necessity require that the parking of 16 motor vehicles in or upon the vehicle parking lots of the follow- s 17 ing designated City parks should be prohibited or limited, be- 18 tween the hours of 10:00 p.m. of any day to 6:00 a.m. of the next t9 succeeding day, and it shall be unlawful for the operator of any 20 vehicle to stop, stand or park the said vehicle at any time in 21 or upon the said parking lots provided for such vehicular parking, 22 and any vehicle so parked on or left standing thereon after 23 11:00 p.m. may be removed, provided that signs are posted giving 24 notice of such removal: 29 (1) Perris Hill Park 26 (2) Patton Farm 27 (3) Delmann Heights Park 2g (4) Blair Park I 1 (5) Lytle Creek Park ' i 2 (6) Nunez Park 3 (7) Wildwood Park ~ I q (8) Encanto Park ~ I g (9) Horine Park i 6 (10) Meadowbrook Recreation Center (Park) ~ (11) Orangewood Park I g i (12) Mill Center Park q (13) Nicholson Park t0 (14) LaPlaza Park ~1 Provided, however, that any athletic and recreation or soci~l 12 activities authorized by the Department of Parks and Recreation t3 shall be exempt from said parking prohibition or limitation. ~4 Provided further, that the Chief of Police, or his ~ I 15 ;designee, shall be authorized to close any parking lot of the 16 'designated City parks whenever, in his best judgment, it is 17 'necessary for the health, safety and welfare "of the community. l8 No person shall stop, stand or park any vehicle in any of the 19 above parking lots after having been informed that the Chief of 20 Police, or his designee, has ordered the parking lot to be closed. i 21 Any vehicle so parked or left standing thereon may be removed." i 22 I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing resolution was duly 23 adopted by the Mayor and Common Council of the City of San 24 Bernardino at a /~q~lldt meeting thereof, held 25 on the day of ~i~1si,1~ , 1979, by the following 26 vote, to wit: 27 28 -2- i ; AYES : Councilmen ~~_^~_o~ ~ flri~j`~ - a~ 3 NAYS : J/ q ABSENT : ~'a,.,~ri~ir~n ~/2 ~C~~n 5 / i~9 6 City Cler c 7 The foregoing resolution is hereby approved th' day 8 of 1979. 9 r ~ e Ci y o San Bernar ino 10 A pproved as to form: I1 r 12 ty At rney 1 I 13 14 15 t6 17 L8 l9 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 -3-
