RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO MAKING APPLICATION TO THE
LOCAL AGENCY FORMATION COMMISSION OF THE COUNTY OF SAN BERNARDINO FOR THE
ANNEXATION OF INHABrtEDTERRITORY LOCATED NORTH OF ORCHID DRIVE, EAST AND
WEST OF PALM AVENUE, AND DETACHMENT FROM COUNTY SERVICE AREA NO. 38, IMPROVEMEN"

WHEREAS, the Mayor and COlllnon Council as the governing body of the
City of San Bernardino are initiating proceedings for a change of organization
(annexation) pursuant to Government Code Part 2 of Division 2 of Title 4,
Section 35000, et seq.,
NOW, THEREFORE, the Mayor and Common Council do hereby resolve,
determine and order as follows:

SECTION 1. Application and a proposal is hereby made to the Local

Agency Formation Commission of the County of San Bernardino for the annexation
of inhabited territory located north of Orchid Drive, east and west of Palm
14

Avenue, and the detachment from County Service Area No. 38, Improvement Zone
G of CSA No. 38, County Service Area No. 70, Improvement Zone A of CSA No. 70,
and CSA SL-1, as outlined in the justification form marked Exhibit "A", and

and directed to file a certified copy of this resolution with the Executive
Officer of the Local Agency Formation Commission of the County of San
Bernardino.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing resolution was duly adopted by
the Mayor and Common Council of the City of San Bernardino at a

A DESCRIPTION OF PROPOSED ACTION:
1. Describe the proposed project in as much detail as possible. Identify the project, including annexations to,
detachmentsfrom, orformation of new entities. Annexation of inhabited territory: dptac.hmpnt
from County Service Area No. 38, Improvement Zone "G" of CSA 38. CSA 70, Tmprove-
ment Zone "A" of CSA 70 and CSA SL-l.
8. The reasons which justify this proposal are as follows: (For example - service needs, health mandate, economic
benefn~et~) Sald territory is a County Island within the Citv of San Bernardino
and jts proposed annexation will contribute and facilitate the orderly 9rowth
and development of both the City and the territory proposed to be annexed.
