RESOLUTION NO. 79-~99
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO APPROVING THE
DESTRUCTION OF CERTAIN RECORDS BY THE FINANCE DEPARTMENT.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SAN BERNARDINO AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. The Mayor and Common Council of the City of
San Bernardino do hereby approve the destruction by the Finance
Department of certain records, more particularly described in
Exhibit "A", attached hereto and incorporated herein as fully as
though set forth at length.
SECTION 2. It is hereby found and determined that the
nature of said records permits their destruction pursuant to
Government Code Section 34090, and further, that the City Attorney
has duly consented to such destruction.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing resolution was duly

The Director of Finance is requesting that this department be allowed
to destroy records dated prior to July 1,1974.
The records in question are:
1. Con~ercial Check Registers
2. General Ledgers
3. Daily Cash Receipts
4. Invoi ces
5. Cash Receipt Summaries
6. Journal Vouchers
7. Cash Transfers
8. Purchase Orders
9. Completed Work Orders
10. Time Cards
11. Accounts Payable Recaps
12. Accounts Payable Paid Claims
13. Transaction Register
14. Payroll Register
15. Spread Deduction Register
16. Individual Deduction Register
The records are quite bulky in size and take up space which can be
utilized for other purposes. There is no need to keep these records
beyond a five year period. All records are dated prior to July 1,
1974.
