RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO AUTHORIZING THE
EXECUTION OF AN AMENDMENT TO LEASE WITH JOHN B. LONERGAN RELATING
TO THE OLD CENTRAL FIRE STATION PROPERTY.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COHMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY'
BERNARDINO AS FOLLOWS:

SECTION 1. The Mayor of the City of San Bernardino is
hereby authorized and directed to execute on behalf of said City
an Amendment to Lease with John B. Lonergan relating to the Old
Central Fire Station property, a copy of which is attached
hereto, marked Exhibit "I" and incorporated herein b:( reference
as fully as though set forth at length.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing resolution was duly

AMENOMENT TO LEASE

THIS ~IENOMENT TO LEASE is made and entered into this

day of
, 1979, by and between the CITY OF
5
SAN BERNARDINO, a municipal corporation, hereinafter referred to

6 as "Lessor", and JOHN B. LONERGAN, an individual, hereinafter
,.
7 referred to as "Lessee".

WIT N E SSE T H:
9 WHEREAS, City, pursuant to a lease agreement approved
10 March 25, 1958, leased certain real property located on the
II north side of Fourth Street between Arrmvhead Avenue and "0"
12 Street, known as the Old Central Fire Station property; and
13 vlliEREAS, said lease was subsequently assigned to John B.
14 Lonergan by the original lessee, Fourdee Company, Inc., and the
15 lease has been modified in certain respects and extended to
16 April 30, 1988; and
17 WHEREAS, Lessor and Lessee have agreed that the easterly
18 twenty feet of the demised premises shall be deleted from the
19 lease agreement in order that it may be utilized to provide
20 needed ingress/egress for public parking facilities located in
21 the block bounded by "0" Street, Fifth Street, Arrowhead Avenue
22 and Fourth Street; and
23 WHEREAS, it is understood by both parties that there shall
24 be no reduction in the monthly lease payment as a result of the
25 deletion of the said easterly twenty feet of the subject real
26 property,
27 NOW, THEREFORE, the parties hereto agree as follows:

1 east of "D" street leased to John B. Lonergan, and more
2 particularly described in Exhibit "A" attached hereto and
3 incorporated herein by reference, be reduced in total area by
4 deleting therefrom the easterly twenty (20) feet of said property, I

5 effective August 1, 1979.
6 2. All other terms, conditions and covenants of said
7 lease shall remain the same and be in full force and effect.
8 IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the parties hereto have executed this
9 Amendment to Lease on the date first hereinabove written.
