4 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO IMPOSING A LIEN ON
CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY LOCATED WITHIN THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO
5 FOR THE COSTS OF THE ABATEMENT OF A PUBLIC NUISANCE.

WHEREAS, the City of San Bernardino, pursuant to its

and other
authority under City Ordinance No.
8 laws did lawfully cause a public nuisance to be abated on Project

No. 1352
on the 12th
day of

10 the real property hereinafter described; and
11 WHEREAS, due notice was given to the person or persons
12 having an interest in said property and a hearing was held to
13 hear protests and to assess the costs of said abatement on said
14

15 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COMMON
16 COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO AS FOLLOWS:

SECTION 1. The hearing is closed; the costs are found to

have been duly incurred by the City pursuant to proceedings under
19
said Ordinance; and the final statement of costs on file with the
20
City Clerk is hereby confirmed and adopted as a special assessment
in the sum of One Thousand Sixty-Two Dollars and Forty-Two Cents
($1.062.42) against the property known as 609 West

Maqnolia. San Bernardino. California.
24 and more particularly described as the west 63 feet of Lot 1,
Block J. Gatch Subdivision as recorded in Book 3 of Maps, page
63. Records of San Bernardino County.

SECTION 2. If said sum is not fully paid to the City
4 Clerk, City Hall, San Bernardino, within five (5) days after the
5 passage of this Resolution, then said sum shall be and become a
6 lien on said property pursuant to said Ordinance and applicable
7 laws and shall be collected as a special assessment thereon.

SECTION 3. In the event said sum is not paid as herein-
above provided, the City Clerk is hereby directed to file certi-
I fied copies of this Resolution with the Recorder and the Auditor
I of the County of San Bernardino, State of California, directing
that said sum be entered as lien charges against said property

as it appears on the current assessment rolls, to be collected

at the same t.ime and in ,:he ".ame manner, subject to the same

penalties and interest upon delinquencies, as the general taxes

for the City of San BerndrdiLo are collected.

Dear Mr & Mrs Layne:
I
In answer to a complaint, an1inspection was'made of the above,
structure. It was found to De immediately hazardous to public
safety and ordered abated by the Building Inspector pursuant to
provisipns of Ordinance 2291. Crrtain costs were accrued in the
abatement of this condition. The total costs accrued for:
Demolilsh struCture and fill basement in compliance with Ordinance
#2291 and Hearing Costs
are $ 1,062.42 . The~e costs are now due.and payable. An
appeal m?y be made within ten (10) days to the Common.Council.
The costs incurred shalt become a lien upon the real property unless
paid to the City Clerkwi<thin thirty (30) days of the mailing of
this notice. Ii
