HomeMy WebLinkAbout2998 Ii ~, 1 ORDINANCE N0. r ', ~"~~ ' ,: ~" 2 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO AMENDING ORDINANCE N0, 2175 ENTITLED IN PART "AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHIN 3 CHARGES FOR SERVICES AND FACILITIES FURNISHED BY THE CITY SEWERAGE SYSTEM . ."; AND INCREASING SUCH SERVICE CHARGES BX FIFTY PER 4 CENT (50%). 5 THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS; 6 SECTION 1. Ordinance No, 2175 Section Two is hereby 7i amended to read as follows; 8! gi "SECTION TWOo CHARGESo Every person whose premises in the 101, City is served by a connection with the system of sewerage of the ~ City or whose premises is within 200 feet of and situated on 11 ~ property adjoining an existing sewer system and not connected 12 thereto but served by City water shall pay a sewer service charge 13 based upon the following schedules 14 1. For each single family dwelling, the sum of One Dollar 15 and Fifty Cents ($1.50) per month, 16 2. For each single family dwelling in any duplex, triplex, 17 court and apartment building, the sum of One Dollar and Fifty Cents 18 19 ($1.50) per month, per dwelling unit. 20 3. For each hotel or motel the sum of One Dollar and Fifty 21 Cents ($1.50) per month plus Fifty-three Cents ($.53) for each 221 dwelling unit maintained for rental, 23 4, For each rooming house, the sum of One Dollar and Fifty Cents ($1.50) per month, plus Fifty-three Cents ($.53) for each 24~ 25i room maintained for rental in excess of four rooms, 26 5. For each establishment engaged in the business of manufacturing, railroading, warehousing, processing or wholesaling ~ 27 28 and each public utility, governmental agency, banking institution, 29 local or national non-profit charitable organization the sum of 30 One Dollar and Fifty Cents ($1,50) per month, plus Eight Cents 31 ($a08) for each full-time employee in excess of ten (10) full-time 32 ~ employees. For each commercial or business establishment not 2 otherwise provided for in this Ordinance, the sum of One Dollar 3 and Fifty Cents ($1.50) per month, plus Fifteen Cents ($.15) for 4 each full-time employee in excess of ten (10) full-time employees, 5 An additional monthly charge shall be made for any of the following 6 services performed in connection with such commercial establish- ? ments as follows; 8 (a) Restaurant -- One Dollar and Fifty Cents ($1.50) I 9 per month plus Fifteen Cents ($.15) for each dining seating l0 capacity in excess of fifteen (15) such seatings. i 11~ (b) Car Washing Facility -» One Dollar and Fifty '. 12 Cents ($1.50) per month. (accessory use) 13 (c) Bars, Beer Taverns, Soda Fountains -- One Dollar 14 and Fifty Cents ($1.50) per month plus Eight Cents ($.08) for 15 each seating capacity in excess of fifteen (15) such seatings. i 16 7. For each commercial laundry, launderette, water 17 softener, car wash, the sum of Three Dollars ($3.00) plus Eleven 18 Cents ($.11) per 100 cubic feet of water used based on the previous 19 month of January usee 20 8. For each school the sum of Seven Dollars and Fifty Cents 21 ($7.50) per month, for each one hundred (100) students, or fraction 22' thereof, in average daily attendance throughout the school year, 23 9. For each church or place of religious worship, the sum 24 of One Dollar and Fifty Cents ($1.50) per month, plus the sum of 25 Seven Dollars and Fifty Cents ($7.50) per month for each one 26 hundred (100) students or fraction thereof, in average daily 27 attendance throughout the year when a daily school is conducted i~ 28 in connection with such church, 29 10. For each office building, the sum of One Dollar and 30 Fifty Cents ($1.50) per month, plus Thirty-eight Cents ($.38) for 31~ each room; however, the charges fixed by this subsection shall be 32 applicable only to that portion of any building devoted to offices, i -2- i'~ ~ (a) For each office suite situated in any building i 1 other than an office building, the sum of One Dollar and Fifty ~ 2 Cents ($1.50) per month. 3 11. For each hospital, rest home, the sum of One Dollar 4 and Fifty Cents ($1.50) per month, plus Fifty-three Cents ($.53) 5 for each patient bed facility. 6 12. For each trailer camp or trailer park, the sum of One 7i~ Dollar and Fifty Cents ($1.50) per month. plus One Dollar and ii 8~ Thirteen Cents ($1.13) for each available trailer space. 9 13. For each theater, dance hall, skating rink, pool hall, l0 bowling alley or other places of amusement, the sum of Three 11~ Dollars ($3.00) per month, plus Fifteen Cents ($.15) for each 12 eating seating facility in excess of fifteen (15) such seatings. 13 14. For each club house, lodge, the sum of Three Dollars 14 ($3.00) per month, plus Fifteen Cents ($.15) for each eating seatin~ 15 facility in excess of fifteen (15) such seatings, and plus Fifty- 16 three Cents ($.53) for each bedroom. i 17 15. For each bus depot, the sum of seven Dollars and Fifty 18 Cents ($7.50) per month." 19 SECTION 2.
