CITY OF SAN BERN.DINO - REQUEST FA COUNCIL ACTION
EPROVAL OF $7,500 FROM 1ST STAFF REPORT
PARK EXTENSION FUNDS FOR
HE CONSTRUCTION OF CHAIN LINK
FENCING AT GUADALUPE FIELD.
Guadalupe Field serves as home site to the San Bernardino
Pony League, Inc. This program services youth through the
age of 14 years. The existing dimensions of the field limits
the playing opportunities for the older youth. Expansion of
this facility by extension of the homerun fence line would
enable the league to retain the older youngsters in the
program and extend their playing opportunities by two more
years. Youngsters in this age range are not serviced by any
other youth sports program and this facility modification
would be an opportunity for the City and Pony League to
continue to provide wholesome activities for youth.
This project will involve the California conservation Corps
to minimize costs.
This project has been coordinated with the council Office.
