12-04-89 Ordinance MC 690 adopted levying an infrastructure fee
for the Verdemont Area.
01-03-90 Ordinance HC 695 adopted extending effective date of
Ordinunce MC-690.
01-03-90 nesolution 90-2 adopted revising the amount of an in-
frastructure fee to be levied.
06-25-90 Resolution 90-253 adopted revising the amount of the
infrastructure fee to be levied, from $7,375 to $6,068,
due to deletion of water system.
11-19-90 Ordinan-::e adopted relating to the time for payment of
the Verdemont Infrastructure Fee.

Recommended motion:
That Change Order No. ONE to the contract with AAA Paving Company,
for Various Street Improvements in Verdemont Area, in accordance
with Plan No. 8420, be approved; increasing the contract price by
$22,052.32, from $266,624.88 to $288,677.20. ~. ~7/id'~

STAFF REPORT
Due to the existence of 23 eucalyptus trees, about 600
feet of curb, gutter and pavement widening were not included in
the plans for construction of improvements along the Northerly
side of Irvington Avenue, between Palm and Olive Avenues. The
residents within this area have now voiced their desire to have
the trees removed and roadway improvements completed.
All work will be at the contract unit bid prices, except
for removal of eucalyptus trees, which will be done for a price
of $382.61 for each tree. The total estimated cost to complete
the roadway improvements is $22,052.32.
The total estimated project cost includes an amount of
$45,375.12 for contingencies, which may be used to finance the
cost for this extra work.
We recommend that Change Order No. One be approved.

2. Remove Eucalyptus trees, 23 ea. @ $382.61
3. Construct Curb & Gutter, 600 L.F. @ $6.38/L.F.
4. Pave 3" A.C. over native, 70 Tons @ $27.33/Ton
5. Unclassified excavation, 533 C.Y. @ $10.34/C.Y.
