Project No. 6 is located east of East Twin Creek/Del Rosa Channel and north of Third Street, as shown on the attached map. The Flood Control District has recommended that Project No. 6 be updated. This recommendation is based upon the fact that many land uses have changed since 1979, and the District has recently adopted a new method of calculating runoff, which gives slightly higher values than the method used in 1979. Requests for Proposals were issued by the District to several Civil Engineering firms. The firm of Williamson and Schmid was selected to perform the update. We participated in the selection process. The Agreement provides, in general, . that the Cities of Highland and San Bernardino will participate in their proportionate share of the Consultant's fee, and the District will enter into a contract with the selected Consultant. The estimated Consultant's fee of $173,500 will be financed as follows: County Flood Control District City of Highland City of San Bernardino Total $ 160,000 10,000 3,500 $ 173,500 It is recommended that the transfer of $3,500 from the available balance under Account No. 248-368-57807, "Highland Avenue to Elk's Lane," to Account No. 248-368-57885, "Update Project No.. 6 - Storm Drain M.P.," be approved, in order to provide funds to finance the City's share of the cost. RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO-AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF AN AGREEMENT WITH SAN BERNARDINO COUNTY FLOOD CONTROL DISTRICT AND CITY OF HIGHLAND RELATING TO UPDATE OF COMPREHENSIVE STORM DRAIN MASTER PLAN NO.6. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. The Mayor of the City of San Bernardino is hereby authorized and directed to execute, on behalf of said City, an agreement with San Bernardino County Flood Control 9 District and City of Highland relating to an update of 10 Comprehensive Storm Drain Master Plan No.6, a copy of which 11 12 13 agreement is att'iched hereto, marked Exhibit "A" and incorporated herein by reference as fully as though set forth at length. SECTION 2. The agreement shall not take effect until 14 fully signed and executed by all parties.
