HomeMy WebLinkAbout13513 6 7 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 ,- 1 /35/3 RESOLUTION NO. 2 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SA.~ BERNARDINO ACCEPTING THE REVIEW APPRAISER'S DETERMINATION OF FAIR MARKET VALUE OF THE PROPERTY LOCATED AT 3 THE SOUTHWEST CORNER OF POPLAR STREET AND EUREKA AVENUE (METCALF SCHOOL), SAN BERNARDINO, CALIFORNIA, AND CERTIFYING THE WORK OF THE APPRAISERS. 4 s WHEREAS, City of San Bernardino is contemplating the purchase.of an abandoned school at the southwest corner of Poplar Street and Eureka Avenue in the City of San Bernardino; and 8 WHEREAS, the City of San Bernardino School District/Metcalf School District is the owner of the lot and parcel of real property and school 9 bUilding situated thereon; and WHEREAS, the City desires to now purchase the said lot and parcel of real property and school building; and WHEREAS, City has reviewed the appraisers' determination of the fair market value of the land and building thereon and their reports thereon and has specifically reviewed and studied the review appraiser's determination of the fair market value and his report thereon; and WHEREAS, the City intends to purchase said lot and parcel of real property and school building with Community Development Funds, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL AS FOLLOWS: 1. That said lot and parcel of real property and school building situated thereon owned by the City of San Bernardino School District/ Metcalf School District is situated upon real property in the City of San Bernardino at the southwest corner of Poplar Street and Eureka Avenue and described as follows: All that real property in the County of San Bernardino, State of California, described as follows: All of Lots I, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 11 and 12, Block "D", of W. A. Boren's Subdivision as per plat thereof recorded in Book 2 of Maps, page 9. records of the County Recorder of San Bernardino County, State of California. . ,~ is hereby determined, based upon all of the appraisers' reports submitted herewith. to have a fair market value of $51,000.00, and said amount is hereby established as the fair market value for said property. 2. The City of San Bernardino does hereby certify that the work of the appraisers and the review appraiser with respect to the lot and parcel of real property and school building situated thereon has been performed in a competent manner in accordance with the applicable State la~, the Act, and Department of Housing and Urban Development policies and requirements.
